Nice pictures (also of the other countries) and especcially nice to see real interest in our history and peculiarities.

About the strange small protruding old buildings, it's all about 17th century Taxes, on front housewidth "gevelbelasting" that made the patricier houses "herenhuizen" small in width, but high and verry long, verru long :-)

Dutch are slightly on the penny so to say.
We even stole our land of the sea...
:-)

Have a nice trip, and lots of nice rememberings of all those peculiar behaviourisms of the people
